hello,
please use one of the available/commonly used job grading models (eg: WMM's IPE, HAY, Decision Banding Model etc.....). please keep in mind that the job grading exercise forms the basis of the organization structure that evolves at the later stage. it is imperative that you get the process established correctly - it may require a lot of ground work, which must be done religiously. going forward, the salary structure that evolves should also be in line as much with the organizations objectives as so with the aspirations of the employees. the employee perspective should be evolved through communication. if you have data from a satisfaction survey, please sieve through it with fine tooth comb to address all the issues that may emanate or lead to the issue of job/employee grades. obviously, simplicity will be an added advantage.
