Hello,

I was working in Jaipur in April 2022 when I received a call from an IT company based in Noida. I went through a two-month interview process and was eventually selected. I received the confirmation email regarding my employment and salary. Despite my three-month notice period at my previous company, I agreed with my former manager to expedite my departure within one month.

I was scheduled to start on June 26, 2024. However, just two days before my start date, my job offer was rescinded, leaving me unemployed. Additionally, my attempts to communicate with the new company have gone unanswered.

Please advise me on what steps I can take. Can I take legal action against the new employer?

Thank you,
Jitendra Singh

Hi,

It is very unfortunate that the offer was canceled by the new employer 2 days before your joining with them. It is very unfair to cancel the offer at the last minute. Have you checked the terms and conditions of the offer? You may send a letter to the employer stating that you had already resigned and been relieved by your past employer. However, challenging them legally may not be fruitful. This is my point of view. Please check with your ex-employer about continuing with them or look for another offer.
