We are running a partnership firm based in Kerala and few months back reached count of 20 employees. Planning for EPF registration. Wanted to know whether we have to pay dues for those months when we reached 20 or only have to remit from the month we register. Also in near future planning to convert the firm to pvt ltd, so will there be any issues in changing company details.
We are having few more doubts regarding EPF and would like to know if there is anyone out there whom we can contact for further guidance.

Dear Menon,
Now EPF is applicable for any establishment employing 10 or more employees. Now the whole EPF system runs through online and there is limited or no use of paper. You may seek the advice of your Provident fund Commissioner and they will be keen to provide service to you and your employees as its a employee welfare scheme.
You need to collect papers of your partnership firm, bank details, employees detail along with their salary and deduction. You may seek for coverage from current date if you have not deducted EPF amount from your employees and kept with you.
Hope this clears your doubts and feel free to contact me at
