If you want security for 30/31 days then these are nothing but reliever expenses. means other security guard will work when other guard will be enjoying weekly off after working of 6 days.

Nikhil,
When you signed the contract didnt you clarify this aspect.
If a term was not clear it should have been clarified before entering into the contract.
Shri Prashant has given a clarification on the term anyway.

Dear Mr Nikhil
As Mr Prashanth rightly mentioned, 1/6th relieving charges is to provide security services for all the days in the calender month. Security Agency will have 1/6th of the total strength additionally to provide security service - round the clock and on all the days in the calender month. But, you will have to pay the Agency only for the actual days worked by the security personnel - and not 1/6th relieving charges additionally .

Hai Contracts are covered for an Average No. of Working Days like 30 and 31 ie 30.43days a Month average.
Wages are calculated for 26 Days and Differential of a month of 30.43-26 Days is the 4.43 Days which is nothing but releiver days ie slightly more than 1/6 Days.

I thank you all for the reply
@Natraj
1. Thank you sir. But still i have a doubt. Suppose daily basic+Vda=312. If the person is working is for 26 days we have to give 26*312=8112. Four sunday he is not working, for this period how much we have to pay.? 1/6 th of 8112=1352 or simply 8112 for the whole month. Kindly clarify sir.
2. If we are just giving 8112 for the whole month(26 days work), then what about those 4 sundays. Suppose substitute is working on that 4 sunday. Whether we have to give salary to that substitute for those 4 days.

From Netherlands
Dear Mr Nikhil
If the Security person works for 26 days in a month, it is enough if you pay for 26 days and no need to pay for additional 4 days (weekly holidays) seperately. During the weekly off days some other Security person will be working as reliever and the Agency will claim for the total days worked by the regular Security person and his reliever from your Company and pay to the Security persons.
