Hi,
I want to know the procedure of leave for adoption.
I understand adoption leave is provided for government companies.However I would like to know the procedures for adoption for a private company especially if its outsourced from abroad i.e the company is abroad and the employees working and the company is based in India. Currently I am in mumbai.
Please let me know the procedure and also let me know the list of companies in mumbai that provide adoption leave for lady as well as gent employees.

If the main company is located outside India but you are working in India, then you will be guided by the Indian laws.
I do not think there is any scope of applicability of Maternity Benefit Act in case of adoption.
