Can Maternity leave be taken in slots for exa. if a female employee avails maternity leave for 4 months & work from home for 1 month & again avail balance 2 months Maternity Leave. Is such flexibility available in law specially for IT sector.

Maternity leave is given for the person to take rest and care for health during this critical and important part of life.
Part leave, then WFH and then again leave is not a privilege granted in the law.
Law is not specific to IT sector, it is across the board.
26 week leave is authorised
And in addition to this leave she may be assigned work from home if nature of work permits this.Sec 3(5) of the MB Act
