Hi,
I had worked with WIPRO BPO KOLKATA from Oct 08 till Feb 10. I was one of the best performers and was moved to training team within 6 months of joining. Everything was going fine till I became ill in the month of Dec 09. I had a lung infection because of centralized AC and informed my Supervisor. He asked me to take rest till I recover. All of a sudden I received a call from the HR in the last week of December that they are moving me out of the payroll as I am absent for more than 12 day. They did not accepted the verbal acceptance I had from my supervisor. I went back and found my supervisor is changed but my access is not working which means I am out of payroll. I spoke to my new supervisor and she did nothing. All she said you come of your own and i will do the needful. I worked till Feb, travel in night shifts of my own till first week of Feb keeping the HR aware of all this.By the month of Feb I was penny less as I did not get my salary since two months. I went to the line

You should have giving the notice in writing rather than having verbal communication. In future be careful to have everything in written. You can have discussion with HR in a professional way, Trust me, Wirpo is a very good organization and they will pay you what you have worked upon. Setting an example is not the main means of influencing others, it is the only means. - Famous Great All In One <link updated to site home> ( Search On Cite | Search On Google )

Hi, I found your query is incomplete. You said that you joined the said company above in October 2008 and worked till February 2010 but was on leave for 12+ days in the December 2009 but when you joined them back found you were terminated, right?

Please answer the following:

-For how many days you were on leave?

-Did you get any warning/request letter to join them back or report them about your leave with reason?

-Did you get any termination letter from them?

-When you found that you were not able to continue your job or had to take leaves, then why you didnt inform them by sending a letter/email or by sending your familiar/friend with your message to your employer which was always available for you as an option to communicate with your employer.

You said that you informed your Supervisor about your illness but by which method, and it was just a telephonic conversation which was not actually a professional method to adopt if you go on medical leave or due to any health reason for more than the allowed leave (varies as per internal Org HR policies).

I understand your concern but your have to accept your mistakes, and suggest you to visit them again and meet HR Manager or HOD if possible and request to get you clearance with your all dues. You have to speak them again also need to write a letter by stating all these things happened with you along with supplying your medical treatment paper and by accepting your mistake that you didnt inform them about your leave according to procedure.

Best of Luck

Hi,
You must have known the leave procedures because you have worked there since 2008.. Bt still i think you can speak with your Personnel Manager and get a solution.. Let this be a learning in future so that you can maintain written records ..
All the best
Regards
Catherine..
