Irrespective of the size of the organisation, it is essential and moral to pay the Maternity leave.

As per sec 2 of MB Act it applies to Factory (10 or more workers) and to establishments having 10 or more persons are employed. unless the state govt declares otherwise.Kerala Govt has extended the Act to shops and commercial establishments irrespective of the No of employees.Pl check whether your state has reduced the criteria of No of employees.
