Dear all,
What is years criteria to get advance from EPF account. Is it 5 years or 7 years. We have submitted FORM 31 of our employee for advance from EPF against his son's marriage. He has completed more than 5 years as EPF member. Yesterday we have received letter from EPF, Kolhapur office; stating that they can not give advance as employee has not completed 7 yrs as EPF member.
Please clear me about eligible years to get advance from EPF.
Thanking

Dear Shrinisar,
For advance against marriage of own or son/daughter/brother/sister and post metric education of children, minimum service required is 7 years [68(K)]. For housing loan, it is 5 years [68(B)].
