Please suggest, if basic salary is more than 16000 and don’t have any UNA number earlier, then is it necessary to deduct the PF?

Hi, If Basic + DA is more than Rs.16000/- and if the employee didn't contributed with the past employer then you can exempt the employee from PF. However please collect Form 11 ( self-declaration form which mandates employees to share details about their previous EPF account) and keep it in the file.

Even if the employee opts out initially, they can choose to join the PF scheme later.
It's advisable for the employer to keep the completed Form 11 for record-keeping purposes.
For the latest and most accurate information, it's recommended to refer to the official EPFO pixel speedrun website or consult with a professional advisor specializing in Indian labor laws.
