I received a volunteer abandonment of service letter because I was on unpaid leave for an extended period due to my mother's medical condition. I have consistently communicated with my supervisors and HR that I intend to return on a specific date. I have also informed them via email and WhatsApp that I am unable to return immediately and am willing to resign without serving the notice period. However, I have not received any response from them. Now that I have received this letter, what should I do next?

Hi,
When you are sure that you will not be able to return to work for a longer period, you could have submitted your resignation at the beginning or applied for a break in service in writing and obtained approval. Now that they have issued a warning letter to you (even after your repeated replies), it shows that your employer is no longer willing to extend your unpaid leave. It is better to go to the office in person, explain your inability to continue, submit your resignation, and close everything once and for all.

So I have been terminated from the bank. What should I do now, sir? I also submitted my resignation letter. I am requesting a regular relieving letter along with an experience certificate. Sir, is it possible for them to revoke the termination and provide me with a standard relieving letter as if I had resigned?

Hi,
You can fight/request back, but without knowing the background for termination in detail, I can't comment on it.
They should have followed the proper disciplinary process and might have given sufficient opportunity for you to report back.
Please contact your employer to make an appeal to them and assure them that you are ready to compensate/serve notice for proper relieving. Some employers provide proper relieving without notice after adjusting the salary in lieu of notice.

Sir, they gave me three warning letters, and I have responded that I am ready for resignation, but they didn't respond. I have not attended my office for the past 6 months. Sir, is my banking career over? I am worried that I won't get a job in the future. Please help me, sir. What should I do now?
