Dear Friends,
Can anyone clarify this for me, please? If it is a private healthcare sector where it is considered an essential service, what difference can be made between employees who put in all efforts to work during the crisis and employees who don't show up to work? How should we address this in terms of paying salaries when the government says not to deduct salaries during the lockdown period?
Thank you.

Hello Sir, Authorities at Gujarat has declared that employers who have obtained permission to work during lockdown can take disciplinary action and deduct wages in case employees do not come to work.

I have worked from home during the lockdown period with permission and instructions from our Directors. However, he is not paying me my salary for the lockdown period. Please guide me on how to calculate the salary and whom to contact. My office timings are 9 to 6. I am online and working from home. But, as per his convenience, he used to call me after 7 pm or even at 10 p.m. and I have worked on Sundays as well. How can I claim my salary? He is now saying that I will be paid for the number of hours worked, i.e., 2-3 hours per day. Please guide me on the right procedure.
