Make out a list of all items handed over/taken over-like torches,wireless,occurence registers etc.
It depends on what all items and documents each shift is holding.A permanent list with items need to be ready for each shift incharge to ho/TO on end/change of duty. and any special briefing points.
When guards patrol have defined places to visit,items to check like doors,windows,parked vehicles,towards the walls,serviceability of lights etc.
It depends on nature of duty and type of establishment being guarded.
