Hello Seniors,
We terminated one employee due to poor performance & uninformed absenteeism for many days(at that time not attending calls even not reply to emails). Now he is asking for experience & relieving So please provide me format for relieving letter for this terminated employee. Want to mention that he is terminated in relieving letter.

From India, Pune
Dear Mugdha,
If you are intending to give a experience letter and relieving letter take no dues if any from him and then issue.
And note that there is no separate format for terminated employee in relieving letter.
Generally terminated employee on grounds of misconduct like frequent absenteeism is not given relieving letter.

From India, Hyderabad
It seems that he was not interested in your employment. Further, he was not engaged in severe misconduct. The process could have been avoided, if some one had contacted/advised him properly. Better relieve him as usual.

Dear Mugdha,
Did you conduct the domestic enquiry before the termination? If not, then it is better not to give any remarks for the separation. Just mention the basic details like name, employee number, DOJ and Date of Leaving etc and that is all.
Recently, there was exactly similar situation for which I have given reply. Check the following link to go through it:
