Gratuity Payment
Respected seniors
This is Ramu. working as AM-HR in manufacturing sector at Vijayawada. I need one clarification on Gratuity payment.
One of our employee resigned with 5 years completed service. Out of 5 years service 1 year he had below 240 days after inclusive of all authorized leaves. Then we have paid 4 years gratuity payment (4 years * 15 days). Is it correct procedure?
Is we have to 5 years gratuity?. The same rule we are following for more than 5 years service also. Kindly give your valuable advises.

no. you need not give gratuity for four years of service. he need to complete five years of service before claiming gratuity.
