Dear Seniors,
I am working in a manufacturing unit as HR , the common problem which we are facing is whenever there is a public holiday or festival,our helping staff dont turn up the other day also.Recently we declared 3 days as holidays for festival, the supporting staff havent report office even after 5th day even after intimation.My MD wants me to come up with a policy to avoid future indiscipline.I kindly request the seniors for ur support in drafting the policy.

Please research Leave Policy available in Cite HR and amend according to your needs, if you require further assistance then the forum member will be glad to help you out. Basically it is not the Policy which helps, it is the implementation and the action/outcome an employee face for not adhering the policy makes the difference.

It seems the policies may fail, it is the way of implementing and part of the organisation. One should feel to the organisation first make your organisation and commit for the supportive staff and then you can see the change, it seems there is a difference or gap exist in the policies and implementations.
