Dear Twinkle,
As rightly said by you, HR itself is a very big and challenging field. You should not choose your career in HR just because the job profile is based in office, but because of your knowledge, your willingness to learn and face challenges.
Since as specified by you that you like interacting and assessing people around you, therefore according to me you can go for recruitment, HR Generalist or a certified trainer also.
Hope I have contributed a little to help you clear thoughts for your future career.
Wish you ALL THE BEST for your future.

I cannot fathom the very basic question. Which HR domain is good for women? What does that mean?
Why is the question not 'which HR domain is good/exciting/challenging' - irrespective of explicitly mentioning gender.

Twinkle, I appreciate the self-confidence that oozes out of your statement " I am lively, like to talk to people, analyse their behaviour".You need to make best of these qualities to make a difference to the work environment and quality of work life of the employees which means your liveliness shall make the work environment vibrant, your talking to people shall build bridges of communication between the management and the employees and your skills of behavioral analysis shall lead to finding truth and solving problems at workplace. This sets you apart from others. All these qualities are necessary for any HR function.and It is your aptitude and natural inclination for a particular function that makes you excel in it but not due to any fact that women are good at certain HR functions..
Hope this clears some confusion.

I'm a bit disheartened to see this question posted by who I think is someone born around 1990. Unless you ask about manual labor atop some isolated mountain, there is no domain which should be seen "better for women," especially in HR. Try not to get into the whole gender-specific role compartmentalization if you can and broaden your horizons.
That being said however, I do appreciate that you've listed your positive attributes as well. All the best!

Twinkle, to be a little star in what ever you do, do not start with limiting beliefs. There are numerous examples of women in the corporate world who broke the glass ceiling and carved a niche for themselves in business and industry Read about them..It is because they believed that there is no responsibility that they cannot shoulder and no function that they cannot handle No doubt, there are certain traits that come naturally to women. For example, women are naturally inclined to empathizing, tending, communicating and caring etc.But these traits are of universal application in any field-be it HR or administration or customer service where you need to deal with people whether as an employee or customer. Make best of these traits to lend positive impact to the functions you handle. All the best.

Ma'am,
I will request you not to underestimate the power of a "woman". As far as career choice is concerned , each & every individual is different and needs to get into a professions of his / her choice. HR is a vast field , as a senior I will advise you to start as a generalist & then specislise over a period of time. IR , CSR , Recruitment etc are various sub-functions , all of them are equally important.
Take care,

Without any prejudices, I feel the question offensive
When we talk about men women equality then why there should be two different set of parameters?
Is it like that something only men can do and women cannot do or women should not do?
Well, except the industrial relationship management (IR roles) in factories, women can opt any domain
However, popular amongst women are:
Employee engagement
HR Operations
Employee welfare management
Training and development
Recruitment

when i posted the query, i had no such intention to differentiate the capabilities or skills of woman and man. Being a fresher in the HR industry i wanted to know the domain with more transparency. i do not even understand where there gender bias statements are coming from. if you read my query carefully it nowhere mentions that women in any stream are less capable than men. On this website there are many capable and experienced HR managers who are always there to help a fresher. On this thread some people are coming up with gender bias statements which shows what they perceive by reading the query. its just the matter of perception.
For those who have guided me and not perceived my query in a negative manner, I, Thank you very much!
