Hi!
Can anyone send me a HR policy on Staff Birthday celebrations in office.
Presently we celebrate each and every employees birthday in office with a cake cut. There was a suggestion from one of the staff member to cut a cake on the First brithday only, by all the birthday associates of the month and give a gift to individuals on their birthday. This saves time and money.
Can someone experienced , design a smooth policy on this subject ?
thanks,

HI Everybody,
I am a new member.
It is a common Practice to cut the cake and celebrate once' birthday in office. Why Can't it be something different. Every one would like to (normally) spend his or her birthday or wedding day with their family.
Could it be possible to give a special leave with a gift voucher or allow him to spent certain amount on company's account, to cover his expenses to dine with his family.

Presently we celebrate each and every employees birthday in office with a cake cut. Club will give gift on that day (We have a club formed by each employees by paying some amount per month). If that falls on holidays, it will be celebrated on the next day.

Hi,
I agree with you instead of spending money on each employee, we can spend on few employees at a time. It may not be possible to celebrate individual birthday, the employees are in large numbers and it is also time consuming.
The best was is to celebrate all the employees who fall in that month at the end of every month. This way we can save money, time, employees productive hrs and also it will be good gathering.
What you can do is to order huge 1 cake and make all the employees who fall in that month to cute it at a time and also if you want to give them gifts.
Thanks

Hi,
We celebrate employees birthday in the following way:
1) Birthday wishes will be displayed on the notice board and in front of employee seat before he/she comes to office.
2) A flower bouquet will be placed in front of employee seat with birthday wishes before he/she comes to office.
3) A good birthday card signed by all/particular division employees will be presented with a gift by his/her superior by around 11 AM.
4) Sweets & snacks will be served by support staffs.
5) All expenditure on company a/c.
In my opinion we should definetly make the day special for the birthday person/s and make them feel happy without hampering our routine work flow.

Dear All, In my previous company we give one gram gold coin and a card in their work spot with their HOD. Regards, Netha

We celebrate B'day's and wedding anniversaries of our employees.
We send out a nice B'day card /mail to the employee copying to all others. The HR team gives them a cake( half KG) with a Boquet and card (signed by all the Managers of the centre ) and wish him/her . The emplpyee cut the cake within their group/project.
For anniversaries, we send out a boquet along with half Kg cake to their residence (for the family).
