There is no differentiation between a Management or Contractor.
Whom so ever it may be, PF has to deposited on or before 15th of the succeeding month of the salary paid month. For eg. PF for the month of April 2012 has to paid to PF office on or before 15th of May\'2012.

Dear Peeush,
There is nothing in the act as limit/day. PF is calculated on monthly basis only. In case of daily wagers if the salary is been given on daily basis than the amount should be given after deducting 12% from the basic wage/ minimum wage or whatever.

Further, as PF is paid on monthly basis, the penalty will also be levied on monthly basis. For e.g.
If PF is paid on 22nd of a month than they can charge penalty on 7days delay on terms of percentage (%). May be 5%, 10%, 15% but not to exceed 37% in any case. Penalty on daily base is not there.

Dear Peeush,
PF Act does not bifurcate between principle employer and contractor for the deposit of contribution. In both cases your contribution should be credited in PF A/C on or before 15th of the month.

Dear friend, as I know the date is 15th but we have grace period up to 20 of each month. So if you meet the contribution before 20th of the month you are safe and fine. Vikramjit.
