"if an employee joins the company on 16th of a particular month then what will be his date of confirmation after 6 months, if its 15th or 16th, then how he will get salary on that particular month as per confirmation or on pro-rata basis"..

Hi Mahesh, As per Supreme Court of India, it’s wrong, Manimum wages= Basic + DA(Dearness Allowance).. Mr. Shenbagarajan K is very much correct..

Dear Pravin, If an employee joined on 16th of perticular month, his date of confirmation will be on 16th after 6 month. kindly Elaborate your quiry on the salary part..

As per our company norms, If any employees joins before 13th of any month then he or she will be confirm the after six month 1st day. Ex: if I join on 6th January 2012 than I will be confirm on 1st July 2012. But any employee join after 13th of any month then he or she will be confirm on 1st date of 7 month. Ex.: if I join 16th January or 23 January then I will be confirm on 1st August. We follow this because we giving the rise at the time of confirmation also.
If any company dose not give any type of increase in salary then no matter for confirmation date, its as per my view.

Dear Pravin,
It varies from company to company. normally the probation is calculated for 180 days only.
So just add +181 to his DOJ, it gives the confirmation date.
you have to calculated his salary on pro-rata basis only.
If an employee is getting 10,000/- and after confirmation he is getting 15,000/-. then first 15 days salary has to be calculated for 10000/month and next 15 days calculated for 15,000/-.
