I have been trying to generate a nationwide list of holidays for a client that's newly set up with a presence in almost all states and am relying on the Central Government insights on holidays but I have a couple of queries:
1) What is the norm in the service/FMCG industry on number of holidays in total?
2) Do we need to still pay for working on holidays or is it lawful now to provide compensatory offs? Or is an ideal scenario a mix of both?
Look to hear your views.
