Hi Srinivas,
I browse a lot of online forums, through them I gotta know that whatever I have learnt is little. It wouldn't be wise to name the institute, I think most of them are like that...
I am a Management graduate with Hr and Systems as my specialisations, so thought sap hr would be ideal for me.
Right now I am Holidaying in Sweden with my Sister..

Hi sirisha

It is heartening to note that ur enjoying ur holiday in sweden which is a b'ful place. You could develop better insights on management and organisational theories when u interact in private with the green pastures, streamy waters and above all an altogether new culture.

One must at every opportune time & place try to learn new things and try to emulate if any practices of that geographical sphere are worth emulating.

Coming to the current issue, SAP-HR is a very exhaustive course which calls for some amount of professional background in all the areas of HR. Though, I had myself not done SAP-HR, but gathered much needed information on this from various sources and ofcourse, am strongly inclined to do this shortly.

Once you come back home, mail me further details of your areas of interest, core competencies and your perception about SAP-HR and its future. You do have good forums in Hyderabad giving very good insights on various areas of HR. You will find a few in the forums who have done SAP-HR from premier institutions and can easily place you of your present potential levels as a SAP guy.

Wish you good luck.

Hi Srinivas,
Appreciate your prompt response!
I have more than 4 years of experience in HR, partly in recruitments and partly in core hr. I strongly disagree with u on having some amount of professional experience in hr, it does not really help u in going for certification/training. However, it adds weightage to u r resume.
I have been working on sap hr for the last one year.
Good luck! to u if aspire to be a sap hr functional consultant.
How about u? I guess ur into hr too?
Let me know more abt u...
Bye

Hi Sirisha

Pl excuse for having not given a quick reply due to other preoccupations. It is nice to hear that UR already on SAP-HR module for the last 1 year. You must be having definitely better inputs than me in this direction. Nevertheless, SAP-HR modules are framed in such a way that a person without any basic knowledge about the HR functioning cannot stretch hands so easily. This does not mean that those who are experienced can do wonders in SAP-HR if they cannot adept to the ERP systems. A reasonably sound guy with policy formulation, integration of payroll with that of HR functions etc.. will be defenitely have an edge over a fresher who's just out from university. I am sure u will agree with me on this aspect.

I am working for a GOI, PSU as a PS to Head of Dept. and had earlier worked with HR dept. for more than 8 years. I have to my credit dual diplomas in Pers. Mgmt. & IR and also HRD. I did my specialisation in Trg. & Devept. and am active in HR forums in HYderabad. The sole interest for me for SAP-HR is to become a part-time consultant based on my academic and HR professional background.

You can give your views.

Have a nice day.

Hey srinivas,
It's really gr8 to know that u have 8 long yrs of exp... In that case u must be a lot senior to me with ample experinece in HR.
May be to an extent I would agree with u with some reservations though in terms of having prior exp... in Hr for getting into sap hr.
