Hey, Can someone help me with this... i need to know if there are any characteristic behavior exhibited by someone who wants to quit an organization. If so, how do you look out for these?

Hi
rightly said by robert..
poor performance
absenteeism - if present, disinterest in work
frequent carelessness
disregard for company rules, regs n policies
moreover, on a lighter note, a dissatisfied worker would definitely put in his papers rather than exhibit his dissatisfaction i guess. Its like to say, die with the guns blazin!

Hi Madhavi,
Apart from comments from Robert & Junaid-
Low or nil involvement in projects/initiatives
Least interested in colleagues
More snappy/aggressive than usual
Bickering about the state of things about the company
Less presentable than usual
Check the websites he is visiting & time spent..
Inputs/vital hints can be assessed from his close colleagues
Calls on his cell n he excuses himself togoto secluded place/area

Dear Madhavi

Rightly explained by the peer members but we also need to understand, what are the influencers to drive him to quit the organization. Anybody do not want to leave the organizaton with bad impact unless the culture of the organization or the environment of his work area is that much bad.It also depends on the maturity of the employee. I have witnessed both the behavioral situation. But majaority of the employees shown positive response while leaving the organization. (In my ten years tenure, i hardly come across a person who want to leave the organization with negative image). Very rarely employees exhibits their negative behavior, that too in the absence of good organizational climate.

In my own case, i am leaving from my current organization in fifteen days for higher position, i am replacing my positiion for the current organization. Even in this period, people at my company do not hesitate to call for any problem, even i am involved critical strategic decisions too. Top Management still feels me as integral part of their organization.

regards

Srinivasu
