Hi All,
I have joined a company where there is no proper HR policies, The present HR person is not exact HR he doesn't know anything about HR rules and regulations. For eg. if an employee is on leave I have to see and ask his manager is the person is on leave after that they will fwd the mail to me. I find it very unprofessional. If I tell the HR that the employee has to CC their leave appln to us he hesitates for that. I wanted to make a change in my company please help me with some very good HR rules and regulations can be implemented where both employees and company benefited in that. Want to build a platform in my company.

Dear Jhansi,
Please try to introduce the HR Policies module by module. Like you may start with the Leave Policy. Just finalize it the way it is suitable to all and that meets the industry standard.
Once it is enforced, take on another policy, say Annual Holidays. Then another one, say dress code, and so on. Once you have finalized a number of them, put them in the shape of a manual.

Hi Jansi,
I agree with Surendra Bhanot. You need to devise and implement these policies step-by-step by taking the management and employee into confidence; otherwise a sudden introduction of new policies may not be accepted by the management/employees.
About your issue of leave management, you can simply take help of Leave Cards. There will be a Leave Card for every employee wherein the total balance for the year is mentioned at the start of the year/on joining. The employee when takes leave, has to enter into that card and take his manager's sign and take HR's sign also and submit back to HR for needful. This also helps you to track the attendance and for payroll.
Regards.
