HR Generalist is into overall managment of HR Department including Joining formalities, Induction, Performance Managment, Welfare management. It is a vast area. Whereas HR recruitment is confined to only recruitment process.
So if a person is having experience in recruitment then it is bit tough to get into HR genralist profile but it is not impossible. Anything calls for knowledge. Study the things which comes under HR generalist profile and learn the basics. Try to acquire knowledge on that. Do some projects.
You can enter into any company as Trainee and then the ladder is there in front of you.
All the best.

Dear Rajan,
As i said earlier, do you have any idea or knowledge about Generalist areas? If No then study the things. Again studying the things will only call for theoretical knowledge, there is a lot of difference between theoretical and practical knowledge. But yes you can gain the opportunities. Work on the HR generalist areas, and apply for it. Go for any interview may it be a frsher level interview but go for it and growth will be there
