Dear Bhuvana,
Els calculation will depend on organisation Leave policy, However for Els calculation formula as folows
Earn Leaves

For Staff (G00 to G06) - Actual Working Days /20
(Ex: 240/20=12 Days)

For Executive - Actual Working Days /12.50
(Ex: 240/12.50(15 Days max))

For Manager & Above - Actual Working Days /10
(Ex: 240/10=24 Days)

Actual / Physical working Days = (Year Days - (Paid holidays+leaves Taken+ weekly offs)
EL Eligibility = 240 physical working days per year.
for the new joinees we have to calculate proportionatly.

Eligibility for Earn Leaves is the Employee has to complete the 240 physical working days in the year and the maximum encashment of leaves for Staff 30 days and for Executive 90 days

DEAR BHUVANA,
E L is granred under either the Factories Act,1948 or the State Shops & commercial Establishment Act. If both the Acts are not applicable then by the rules of your unit. In Factories Act it is to be divided by 26 as presribed under the Chapter of Leave with wages. Similarly you may go through the provisions of leaves under State Shop Act if the same is applicale in your case. In both the Acts provisions for eligibility & no. of leave to be given are mentioned therein. Plz do efforts you will find the answer to your post.

every oorganisation have different procedure regarding EL. as per factory act for elegibility the person should have 240days working days withina year excluding rest & holidays. if the employee join in the middle of year then his twothird attaindaince will be check during calculation. and in my organisation we r providing 15 days of EL to employees.1.25 days will be calculated for every 20 days working.how we calculate. example- suppose from jan to dec a person has working days 280 excluding restday & holiday then to find out there no of el in a year EL Due=IF(ROUND((totaldays i.e 280)/20,0)>15,15,ROUND((totaldays)/20,0)) from this formula we find how many el days will go to his account. then total El=(Eldue-EL availed)+holidays&nationalholiday. then 3rd step will be Total amount- (Salary*12/365)* total El. hope this information help u. for any help plz mail me.
