Hi,
The attrition rate for the year is calculated using the following formule:
No. of attrites in a year/Average Headcount
Avg Headcount=(Headcount at the starting of the year+ Headcount at the end of the year)/2

Dear Aashitsrivastava,
There is something I don't Quite understand about this template
Attrition Rate = Employees Termed/Average HC For the timeperiod
The template gives a very deflated value of attrition.
Lets consider an egzample
Opening HC = 100
New Joinees= 10
Resignations= 2
ATT Rate =2/((100+108)/2) = 1.9%
Rationale for the same
On an average the number of employees I had during a month is approximately the average of my opening and closing headcounts and not thir sum.
The template returns a value of .91% (Not ACCURATE)
I have attached a modified template
There is something odd about the data in my template . It will look odd but it is accurate.

If you want to calculate Attrition Rate for a perticular month you can Calculate it like below:
(Total no of resignation)/(total no of employees at the beginning of the month+total no of new joinees-total no of resignation in that month)*100

this is the formula to calculate the attrition rate.......
first decide for which period you want to calculate the said rate...
than
1. take the opening manpower available for that period
2. take the closing manpower available for that period
3. add this two numbers
4. devide that by 2.
5. take the total resignations during that period and devide this total resignations by the numbers that arrived by step 4
6. multiply the answer by 100 & this is your attrition rate.

From India
a) Opening Manpower
b) Resignations
c) Month you are currently in.
Annualized attrition = (b / a) * (12 / c)
