Basic rule on leave pls donot get confused with reading article, read law pertaining to your sector.
Factories act :-
Every 20 days worked by employee gets 1 day leave & child every 15 days worked 1 day leave
To get leave one has to completed 240 days in a company (240 days calculation counts (leave due to annual maintainace, maternity leave not more than 12 weeks, legal strikes, If any employee enjoy leave befor earning will be taken for count of 240 days and he will not earn that leave later)
PL min 18 days max depends on company management
CL / SL min total 12 days if company is working for 6 days a week
Public Holiday min 10 days
Maternity leave as per rule 12 weeks
Compensatory off is worked on leave days. If worked on Public holidya 2 compensatory off allowed.
Rest all depends on company to decide max limit to keep employee happy, some companys give satarday off , some give second satarday off, some give father leave, optional holiday etc.
