Dear Shwetha
You can develop your skill in statutory compliance related to labour laws viz. CLRA, PF, ESI,MW, Maternity, Bonus, S&E, Industrial Disputes etc. which will give enough opportunity to come across different type of issues related to labour/industries.
You can be familiar and over come these only if you have opportunity and practical knowledge in that.
Again, please note that you can not take any risk at the cost of employer.
With regards
L.Kumar

Hi Shweta,
Its 2 different part and in many comapnies compensation is a baby of HR. The structure of salary should be formatted by the HR of the companies. Some companies now have started to outsource the payroll part.
First decide with your seniors the salary structure i.e exactly what component they want in the salary structure. Also decide on the Tax saving component.
Would you required help in salary structure, then let me know.
Thanks,
Samrodha
