Dear Bud,
It is not fair to go on leave, while being on notice period. The notice period meant to separating of employee from the orgn. will not suffer work i.e. societal growth.
It can be availed worst to worst case i.e. sick/accident.

In general employees in notice period are not allowed to take leaves. If it is an unavoidable situation then he/she has to work for the extra day/days to finish the total number of days in a notice period.
