hi aparna & Raghul
dont quit ur jobs. love ur job in the current company.keep learning new things and try implementing them.coz in small concern only gives u opportunity to create ur own things as we get into bigger concern we r just maintaining what the company followes.
u dont even given opportunity to tell ur opinion.more over often switching frm one concern to another may cause a black mark in ur career.being an hr u should have know this.
Thanks and Regards,

i really dont think u guys shud switch over not atleast rite now, since its a small org u have ample of scope to tak the inciative to start hr ful fledged here. By principle a small org provided u the ebst over all learnin atleast if ur a fresher cos u tend to do everythin on ur own n the work is not divided. so must indulge in comp & ben , i cant say trainin cos i know smal org dont support training except the basic 1 so. u can definately try out employee engagement activities get to know employees on 1-1 basis that wil help u.
all this will definately add to ur cv.
secondl;y rite now in the market only new compNie r hirin rest recruitment is freezed everywhere...
in short buddy dont leave til u compelte 1 yr

Benefits of working at a small organization for a longer duration:
- Satisfaction - you lent your shoulder for the growth of the company
- Expectations are more - ensures you are always on your toes
- Opportunity to "formulate, introduce & fine tune" new policies and procedures (in big organisations you don't get to this stage)
- reference from the CEO or directors themselves
Only pay scale and long work hours (less or no leave) are the disadvantages.
If you have 3 to 4 yr. of exp. in small organisations - you can face any kind of interview (makes it more easier).

Aparna,
Actually you are blessed that you got an oppourtunity to lead as an HR in a small company. Meaning in a small company there are opportunities for you to grow and implement process and procedures - whereas in a big company you are just a loop in a bigger chain and your voice is no heard - or as you are invisible.
I would recommend you the following
1. Implement good organization policies (research this website as it can give you good inputs)
2. Implement performance management system
3. Implement good attendance and leave procedures
4. Implement frequent training and upliftment of team members
5. Policies as per regulations
6. Good harmony
7. Structured filing systems
8. Build resume database as backups for future appointments
9. Build strong relationship among team members
10. Act mature and win hearts :)
Thanks

hi,
its not about big company or small company, try to be yourself. try to learn something and contribute what you know. it helps you to move further and increases confidence in you. when we perform well money and status follows automatically.
thank you
sateesh

Hi Aparna
No matter whether it is a small or big company. Every succesfull company as of now have been grown from a small company. The main concern is the nature of ur job and ur interest. If both are matching then u can work otherwise u r also spoiling ur time and as well as company's time.
