In a case where the employee left his job without any prior intimation to the office and simply stated the next day that he shall not be continuing any further, what are the company's rights and what action can be taken?

what action can we take? , If candidate is in bond and breach the bond then how can we go legally ?

Dear member,

If the "employee" (not the "candidate" as you have stated) has abandoned the employment then follow the regular procedure of discipline. Issue the notice to report for the duties. If no reply is received or if the employee does report for the duties, then issue one more notice. If still nothing happens, then order the domestic enquiry. If the employee fails to depose before the enquiry, then your company is free to take disciplinary action, which could be termination of the employment also.

For Deepika Khanwilkar: - We do not know the facts of the case. Anyway, you may refer to the following article:

Note of Disapproval: - It is regretted to find that the members do not understand the difference between "candidate" and an "employee". Can there be anything more basic than this? One need not be an HR professional to know the difference between the two.

Thanks,
