Please understand that submission of a bill for even Re1 which is false is a matter of integrity.
The company can take action against you if they verify and find out bill is fake.
Discreetly talk to management and find a way out as the action done by you is irregular and can have consequences.

Certain virtues like integrity, honesty which always stand absolute and unsubstitutable are in fact indicative of a person's character. Particularly, in the realm of employment, any employee who lacks integrity would be viewed as a cancerous implant in the organization. Even the management can go to the extent of terminating your services. Therefore, try to do something as suggested by Mr.Rao.

You see anything you claim as reimbursement should be genuine one. The travelling policy of every establishment is different. For example, in my case food in any three-5 star hotel with bill or Rs.1500 to 2000/-without bill for different category of cities.
No doubt of it, you have done the mistake. Nothing good can be suggested without knowing your establishment policy on tour & travels on company business. How your HR comes to know that bill is fake, is a matter?
You better discuss with your DH to sort the matter with HR.x

Submission of fake bills calls for termination of employment as it is against the code of conduct based on Integrity and Ethics. Business code of conduct & Ethical compliances, truth in negotiation and our values are to be inbuild, and the companies do take care to inform the employees through intranet or in an employment agreement on these compliances. The amount does not matter, the act does.
This is taken as zero tolerance. Best is to take it as lessons learned and try to find another job.
