Hi all, I worked for a BPO company for 12 months and resigned from the company without serving the notice period due to a better job which requested immediate joining for the process of marketing. The company told me that they would not give the relieving letter but accept my resignation.
I currently resigned the marketing job due to medical issues and the company agreed to resign without serving my notice period considering my health condition.
I recently got a job with a new company and want to start their immediately but they are requesting for the relieving letter from my first company.
I resigned from my second company on on November 6th and would get the relieving after full and final settlement.
My first company agreed to provide me experience certificate.
Kindly help me to understand if there is any possibility that I can get the relieving letter.

Hi,
It is always advisable to get relieve properly from any Organization after fulfilling the notice period clause. The purpose of Notice period is to complete the pending work/ hand over the responsibilities / provide some breathing time to the current employer to look for replacement. In your case you have submitted resignation informed your employer about your inability to serve proper notice. I suggest you visit your old employer HR by person and to brief the situation. Explain them that you are willing to compensate for the unserved notice period ( probably one month Gross salary in most of the companies or please check your past employer employment terms) and request to issue relieving order. They may consider.
