I would be really gratefull if someone can throw light on the issue im facing.
To start with, I'm working in an MNC which is a reputed one. We are following leave policies of the parent company, that means that we are not getting a state or national holiday and we are enjoying holidays of a different country(7/8, a year) My concern is why don't we have a compensatory off or double pay for serving them on a state and national holidays.
When I asked about this to HR and other seniors I was getting vague replies, like, our company works on IT law, and on another occassion a manager said as per govt norms they jz have to give 4 holidys extra for not giving state and csntrl holidays, which they are covering it in the national holidays of the parent company. Can some one pls give a clarity on this.

Our annual leave policy - 22 casual leaves 6 sick leaves and 2 optional holidays which one can avail on state or national holidays, but I could never use that optional holidays bcz only 10% of the team size can take leave on a given day, that means these leaves will be booked well in advance n I could nvr use my optional holidays.

For clarity, our company is in a SEZ, will it anyway affect the leave policies ?
How many sick leaves should be given to employees?
