Hi,
I want to learn US IT recruitment process. I understand its very different from Indian Recruitment process. I have managed to get some information online but its too descriptive. It would be nice if anyone can share a powerpoint slide or share the link for online understanding of US IT recruitment.
Thanks!

US IT Recruitment isn't a mini concept to explain at a glance,

anyways the major Role of you as a recruiter is not only recruiting but also selling.. i mean u will be provided with bench candidates who are to be placed in to companies..

As Recruiter you need to learn the few major concepts

a) Immigrant Visa

b) Non Immigrant Visa

As a Recruiter you need pay attention to Non-Immigrant visa types most... they are further classified as

there were 4 categories in H1 they are

vi)TN - to the Professional workers of Mexican & Canada

with a little description this is about Visa...

2)Taxation is categorized as

i.)W2

In this Employer will pay the entire taxes of his employee which include state unemployment tax(SUT), FICA,FUTA,IRS,State & Federal Income Tax...

ii)1099

A individual is treated as a Self Incorporated or a Corporation and he is payed in a un taxed manner, the individual himself have to pay all his taxes

iii)Corp-corp

A Corporation pays the wages to the other Corporation or Vendor providing the workers

that mean employee will be working under the payroll of Vendor for the other Corporation

In short about Taxation...
