When you are conducting such a study, suggest the following:
1] Reveal your IDENTITY--will go a long way to persuade responders to be clear on the Motives/Purpose of your Study.
2] Elaborate the PURPOSE of this study--would YOU respond to such a Study IF you don't know what it is for?
3] Use a Questionnaire--asking pointed queries of what EXACTLY you want to know. What you asked seems to be asking for the Career History of the responders. is that realistic/practical?
