HI
if there is a policy in your company about the welfare measures/ benefit which includes contract workers too, yes you can claim that. But its not mandatory for the management to provide education allowance to their employee on rolls or contract. In case of any young person employed, yes the manageent has to bare the educational expense of the person.

Thank you Christopher for reply.
You said it is not mandotary for management to provide this facility to employee whether regular or contract. Is there any other policy from state or central government for children of contract workmen of this stage to provide education or any other benefits so that I can claim.

Jitendra

Hi
based on my search, i think all government employees has Children education allowance but not in private company. You can check with a labour consultant in your area for further queries. I couldnt able to find anything relating to private company's and for contract employees.

Dear JKS 123,
If you are a contract workmen, you would be contributing Labour Welfare Fund regularly. If so, then you have got variety of benefits like educational incentive, Educational Scholarships, Typewriting/Shorthand assistance and Assistance for Basic Computer Training from the labour welfare board. You may check with your local labour welfare board for any assistance.
And you have mentioned your monthly wage also, which is well below the wage limit for getting the welfare benefit from the labour welfare board. In Tamil Nadu, the maximum wage limit to get various labour welfare benefit is Rs. 15,000/- per month.
