I received the letter for revision of salary on August 08, 2013. The letter was dated july 01, 2013. The revised salary was with effect from April 01, 2013. Now before getting the credit of my salary in arrears, i submitted my resignation, on knowing this the HR department refused to give me the arrears of my salary also they refused to increase my salary for the remaining period. Please let me know if there is any way to get the arrears of my salary.

you are not eligible for getting this arrears in this next six month bcos u r on probation period so u r nt asking this arrears in next month of DOJ
if management ready to give that arrears than its ok bt as per legal law u r nt eligible for that
ya if any condition at the time of interview that its ok bt without any condition u didnt asked any arrears for that...;..
and as per ur knowledge in probation period management will decide tht how much increment given to the employees u r nt taking any legal steps for tht

Ya abdul
As per law you are definiatly eligible for the revised salary
But the main thing is tht the date of issue of increment latter is nt impotant bt effect of tht revised salary is main thing
So u directly gone through the management decision.
After all management is being heart of org. So you just talk to the management regarding tht nt more than that
Bt management will nt play a role like tht

Please let the forum know when you received the Salary revision letter whether you were on notice period or you resigned after receiving the salary revision letter.
Also let us know how does it matter if the salary revision arrear is not credited to your account as you have already decided to leave the company. I mean to say what if you would have not received the salary revision letter till the last date of your employment, and what if your salary has revised and will your status of leaving the job change ???. If so whether you have communicated it to the HR and yes than what is their revert on the same.
Most of the MNC/Professional owned company does not refuse to pay the salary revision.

I do not think there is any law (particularly in private sector) which defines, whether you should get or not.
In Govt sectors whether of Central or States it is applicable. Employees get Arrears not only after leaving but also after retirement too.
As per my personal opinion, they should give because they had declared this and inform you by Letter. But after all it is depending on the Management.
