If there was no appointment letter/LOI/SO, and the employee terminated without any guilty My query is that in that position what will be the notice period to be given the above said employee

If there is no Standing Order certified, then Model Standing Order is applicable. The organization must follow what is stated in Model SO.
Industrial Disputes Act provides for one month's notice in case of retrenchment. Some of the Shops and Establishments Act in some States have prescribed one month's notice in case of termination.
It is safe o give one month's notice.
