Dear All can we split Minimum wages into different components to deduct PF on reduced Basic? i hope your early reply on the above matter regards Boppudi Venu

Dear Bappudi ji, You can not split minimum wages in to different components, in my view.

Thanks a lot to Mr Korgaonkar & Ashish for your reply , this is also my firm view not to split Minimum wages to deduct on reduced Basic at the cost of low rung employees meager salary as they are struggling already in this spiraling era in all commodities, but one of my organization consultant prevailed upon my management of this idea to split minimum wages, but we are opposing this move.

Dear Ashish,
Where is writen down we can not split minimum wages. Please give reference of Act/ Rule.
Please try to understand ;-
Provident Fund Act and Minimum Wages Act both are under labour minisry but higher authority is different . if goverment wants to nobody split minimum wages than change / amend in Minimum wages Act.

There is one judgment popularly known as Air-Freight Case wherein Supreme court has decided that Min. Wages should be treated as one component only and not to be divided
