Dear All,
I have few queries regarding statutory.
1.What is code and subcode in PF,ESIC? If company has branches in different states so do we need to have separate PF/ESIC code for each branch or 1 PF/ESIC code will work for admin purpose.
2.PT is different for each state so how to make PT return, can we do it only from home branch for all states?
Awaiting for response.

Code and Subcode is like Father and Son. If you are a single company than a code and if are running group of companies under one umbrella than it has the subcode. Your company is identified in the system by this code. So every month when you send the details to the PF department along with employee details the sheet will have a code column to specify and with this detials the system updates the info.
You don't need to have separate code of all the branches. You home branch severes as a primary point for all the states. i.e. If your HO is in Mumbai and you have around 3-4 branches in other states still all the PF will be mapped to Mumbai account.
