Hi Belciya,

Training is an important activity of any company because it is considered as investment and it is expected to produce tangible results -that is value addition. Both the company as well as the employee are benefited through training. The employee becomes more capable of dealing with complex situation in his desk. Hence the facilitator has to give utmost importance to planning and delivering training effectively.

First write down the objectives of the training and the level of participants expected to take part in the training.

Then think about the infrastructure like seating arrangements, lighting, acoustics, training hall and its ambiance, the training aids like power point projector, flip chart, etc.

Then think of how to deliver the training content in a way that inspires the participants,. Involve them as much as possible and let it be more activity based.Allow for lot of interaction, group discussion, role plays, which makes learning easy and enjoyable. Let it be interactive also. Ask questions in-between.

The facilitator has also a part to play in the success of the training. His communication skills should be excellent, putting things across should be exemplary and correct, his mannerism, body language, motor skills, etc should all motivate the participants to learn. His whole personality should be learner-friendly and accommodative. Don't put them down for any reason. Constantly encourage them to interact with you.

A lot of books are available on this subject. You can read and profit by.Also take help from Cite HRians.

Above all have confidence, plan well and execute perfectly.

I wish you all the best!
