Dear All,
Can you please provide any H R policy or any plan which can be forwarded to management so that incentive can be received by Accounts Deptt. and back office staff also. At present incentive is given only to sales deptt.

incentive can be given to anyone.
you would need to identify appropiate KPIs...
eg in payroll: number of non compliances in a year, on time salary disbursal, errors..
another good example would be, lets take cashiers in a mall. if we pay them a % of sales, they would look forward to the festive season...
share their jd so i can help you design.

Let me correct something here is that Incentive cant be received by accounts or anything but offer as a gift to the employees who performed well on or above the expectation of SALES/ACHIEVEMENTS. You basically want a Incentive Policy for the following objectives
1. Increase the Sales of the company.
2. Increase the productivity of the company by involving Support Departments like HR, Finance and Purchase Department Employees.
well if you wanna frame an incentive plan and policy for your all employees need to work on that and for this you can go to the following web links for discussions we already held at this place by many members.

Dear Anil, could you shed more light on your statement " Let me correct something here is that Incentive cant be received by accounts or anything" . am waiting for your reply,
From India, Delhi
Is Accounts Department responsible to give incentives to employees?
Who is responsible for Incentive Policy, Implementation Performance Management like activities?
Is Accounts & Finance responsible to maintain employees achievements/sales figure and Measurement?
Whenever you will answer these question I believe can get the answers of your question yourself.

Dear Anil,
i repeat my question once again so that you can clarify your stand.
what do you mean by this statement "Let me correct something here is that Incentive cant be received by accounts or anything"
do you mean to say we cannot have KPIs and incentives for HR/ accounts/ logistics/ other depts ?
or is it something else ?

Now i can buy that you are not getting what i said above not dont wanna understand the same.

Ok let me describe you all

What Mr. Anoop basically said that he wants to frame a Incentive Policy (hope you know what is Incentive Policy and the purpose of it) which can be introduced to Management (to take decision or approval) and enable him to achieve their set objective (to know the objectives you can go to above-Post #3).

Incentives are kind of "Allurement/ Temptation to do best", a system which helps to get done good by employees or to reached the targets by them. It works as MOTIVATOR. And to measure the performance and calculate the incentive figures according the Policy/Plan terms, is not a job of Accounts people. They are responsible for Fund Management not to measurement of Performance or offering gifts/Incentives.

But the statement what Mr. Anoop has given above "incentive can be received by Accounts Deptt" is wrong. Sales Team/HR are responsible for this job or to make a list of people who deserves incentives based on their performance and according to Incentive Plan/Policy and forward to Accounts for payments. Account is not responsible for this but If you thinks or believe that accounts department is responsible to measure their performance and to calculate how much money (incentive) they have earned and can be paid, then im sorry, I dont have any problem with that, you can move ahead with that too.

"Incentive (Gift/ Allurements) cant be received by Accounts & Finance"

And if you have any policy in your organization that accounts are responsible to offer incentives, then its your policy and I....

well I hope this time you will find my answer clear and specific to you. Also now you can correct your own very recent question to me bcz I never said like that you are getting by my responses. And i beg your pardon if my any single word made you feel bad or anything like bcz i seriously dont know what made you feel like you have put your questions. You are a very senior person even i would like to learn from you and request you to correct me if you found me wrong instead of posting questions again and again.

I'll be highly grateful to you SIR

"Anyone who feel or found me wrong, are requested to correct me"

Have a great evening.

Dear Anil.... i think this sentence was the culprit "Incentive cant be received by accounts or anything".. the confusion is now cleared up.... cheers...

Dear Surya Ji and Anil Ji,
It is clear that sales persons get incentive reward for achievement of targets to motivate them further and they deserve too. My point is that achievement by sales deptt. is backed by Account Deptt.. A company cannot run only by fulfilling sales target, the other statutory and non-statutory requirements are done by Accounts and Back Support office or deptt.. But the company at present is only distributing incentives to sales persons and other departments inspite of good working are not able to convince management that other are also eligible for motivation by way of receiving incentive.
Can you enlight above.
Thanks & Regards
Anoop
