Dear Seniors, We have transferred one of our employees to our sister concern company as per requirement and a transfer letter has been issued. But my query is, do we need to issue him a new appointment letter from the company where he has been transferred or a transfer letter is enough?

Sister concern or Inter Company Transfer - Transfer Letter is enough, Employee Code & DOJ will be same (as employee is being only transfered & not newly appointed) . Employee Dossier has to physically handover to Transferred Company.

Dear Pradnyal,
I would suggest you to check the terms and conditions/obligatons of employement of the sister company. Incase of difference you may have to issue new appointment letter otherwise Transfer letter will hold valid.
