Dear Manoj
No, your company is not having employment strength less then 20 for the purposes of coverage of Employees' Provident Fund & Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and like this when your employee (who are getting less then 15,000/-) strength will reach at 20 (if you are not running your establishment with power), then your company will be coverable under the provisions of Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948.

A slight modification..now a days......ESI extending the scheme to the shops & establishments wherever no. of persons (not employees), i.e. now no question of coverable employees; are 10 (earlier it is 20), then such units are coverable under ESI...........
The above said notifications are giving individually by various states under section 1(5) of the Act..........So please ensure that such notification is given in ur state or not....
all the best.....

Dear Manoj, Yes, of course voluntary coverage for PF is possible under Section 14 (1) of the EPF & MP Act, 1952. Regards Parag 9871642046

Dear Friends,
As Per PF & ESI Act Registration is not mandatory if the firm having less than 20 employees
And also says that the principle employer is liable if the contractors defaults to pay.
If a contracting company having 8 employees in their roll but it engage subcontractors to acomplish their work were they are engaging some labours on daily basis . let me know now the contracting company has to register under ESI & PF
Regards
Suresh
