Excellent article, given the fact that most HR we find today is transactional HR ( Salary & Benfits, Personnel Files ) or to some extent Core HR ( Perf Appraisals, Training etc). This just underlines the importance of strategic HR like the Visa / Immigration departments or the Resource Management functions , which are sometimes just loosely clubbed into HR. Such functions are very much capable of contributing directly to support business.
