Dear ALL,
I had been working as a Marketing Manager for the past 7 years and now I have been offered a position of Marketing Specialist. Please kindly advise hierarchy wise which one is superior.
Kindly note the offered package is almost 75% more than the earlier one.
thanks and regards

Designation never makes much difference, If there is 75% increase take up the profile Also any designation, you will do only marketing, So take the offer

Sir I don’t much about the hierarchal structure but if you are getting a 75% increasing then i think you should go for that...

Dear Irfan,
In my opinion don't worry too much on the designations, if you are being offered a handsome hike and will continue to do the same job profile or will also take up additional responsibility then it does not matter. I am reminded of an old quote "Don't worry whether the cat is black or white as long as it is able to catch mice".
Many companies are practicing confidential pay packets and designations give a clue of the positions and eventually the salary. In other words the recent re designations do not offer a clue. Examples are Head, Team Lead, Specialist, Associates etc.,
All the very best!!!

Dear Irfan
If you get more than 75% of what you get now, please do not hesitate to take up the new task. Please go ahead. But Before joining make sure about the new company's withstanding power even during recession.
Wish you all the best

Dear,
Hi
I am working as a recruiter and i always do the same thing. The hierarchy for the marketing people is very ambiguous like there are variety of designations viz territory manager, area mgr, district mgr and so on but all are doing the same thing. So you can accept the offer but be sure the company should be good.
All the very best and god bless you for your bright future.
Thanks

First you Rewind your life moments with the company where you are working presently..think what you own ..hierarchy wise opinion would be depend on your Financial position you should only decide which is better workplace and post for you.
.post is different from that of 75%..
According to me you should try it.. but dont leave the previous job..take a long leave..
