Dear All,
Our organization gives 2 weekloy offs - Sat & Sun
Please let me know if the minimum 21 days of annual leave mentioned in Bombay Shops & Establishments Act will include the Sat weekly off.
Do we need to give annual leave of 21 days besides the 2 weekly offs of Sat & Sun.

Dear Neha,
Weekly offs and Leaves are two different things..
Weekly offs are your planned weekly offs, which has been stipulated in your Standing order as Offs.. Whereas Annual leaves are given against the work they rendered with the organisation..
Annual leaves are leaves which employees avail in case of any emergency or as such required. But Saturday off can't be used for that purpose..
Moreover this is the Off for every employee, whereas leave meant to provide the employee any extra off in case of urgent requirement.
