Dear All respected senior members, There is one serious issue with one of my friend. He has been employed with one of the top ranking fortune 500 company .He joined the organisation as per the experience he had earlier and interested in , six months back. But when he joined he came to know there was no such opening , rather some other low profile requirement was there , that he was forced to do indirectly , in which he was not keen and said no before hiring , now he is badly caught in this situation , can't do anything , neither take such an assignment as he is married and involves him 24'7 in the same. Now the problem is he has completed 6 months in the same organisation and they are not confirming him and giving him unrelevant responses that is quiet ambiguous. Kindly help with your suggestions what he can do to face this situation as change in this market situation is also not easy. Regards, Vyakhya

It is the responsibility of the candidate to enquire in to the details of the organisation where he has been directed to join well before he accepts the offer. It may happen that in order to get good stuff, the recruiting team may air a lot of promises but not in literature. When you join, you come to know that you have been cheated. Certainly, you can go against the company for cheating but only if your offer/ appointmnet order says some thing different and only when you have proof to say that you were offered something high rather than actually being given. Under such circumstances, the employee can find some other opportunity and leave the company with a clear remark that the management has not shown justice towards him by offering a job and placing in a low profile job. Confirmation of job is a different matter. The employer can extend it if he finds that the performance of the employee is not upto his expectations. We, the employees, can not say that I am perfect and I am doing my work to the entire satisfaction of the management and, therefore, I should be confirmed and or appriased very good. Better find a job which will give more exposure than the present. Regards, Madhu.T.K

Dear Sir, Thanks for your reply , I agree that as a last resort an employee can start looking out for a new job , but what's the assurance next job will be fine , I mean the employer might just exploit the situation as the candidate would not be in position to change the organisation again and again and that's what is happening now a days. It's just like giving you a profile of HR before joining and making you work all admin work later , what's the learning in that case , and how we can do away in such situation. Looking forward for your feedback on the same. Thanks & Regards, Vyakhya.

I have seen this kind of incidence many times, it has happened to me also. Only option I can see change ur job, i know its not easy to change the job in such market condition but atleast he can give it a try. You can not trust and sure if comapnay is fortune 500 company. If you will speak to HR or any senior management then they will give some diplomatic answer which will not solve ur purpose.
